    The chart indicates the time of first and last appearance of fossils assigned to each species. The ordering of these species from left to right suggests one reconstruction of the evolutionary sequence from Australopithecus  Homo . Note that Homo habilis and Australopithecus robustus overlap in time between 2.5 ~ 1.5 MYBP.
