Bat Wing Types
The Fruit-Eating Bat (Artibeus)
(left), a slow, fluttering flier, has a relatively low aspect
ratio (wing length / breadth) as compared with the Western
Mastiff Bat (Eumops) (right), which is a fast, enduring flier. The
latter wing type is also typical of most birds.
