Tours
St. John's and the surrounding area are rich with spectacular coastal scenery, wonderful urban parks, charming streetscapes, and significant historical and cultural sites (http://www.stjohns.ca/visitors/attractions/index.jsp). Congress delegates are encouraged to spend time before or after the 2006 Congress exploring these sites, and the rest of the province.
As part of the Congress we will be offering a number of tours, excursions and events. For information on these tours as well as tours of the Ocean Sciences Centre/Aquaculture Research and Development Facility and Marine Institute, and Lotek Wireless (St. Johns), please go to the Tours/Excursions Page

As part of the Congress we will be putting together a program for persons accompanying conference delegates. Accompanying persons have the option of participating in this program, and the number of activities in the program will depend on interest. The program will likely consist of a variety of half day (3 hours) and full day (6 hours) activities including a harbour charter tour, a traditional art and artist tour, a walking tour of St. Johns, a visit to picturesque coastline communities, and a trip to the Witness Bay Ecological Reserve (whale watching, bird colonies, sea caves, etc.).
