Poster and Oral Presentations

LANGUAGE:

The official and exclusive language of the 2006 International Congress on The Biology of Fish will be English. All abstracts are to be submitted in English, and all presentations (oral or poster) will also be in English.

ORAL PRESENTATIONS:

All Symposium presentations will be 20 min. in length including questions (with the exception of plenary lectures which will be alloted 30min). Symposia organizers will keep presenters within this time limit.

Laptop computers and LCD projectors will be available in all rooms. It is recommended that all presentations be prepared in Microsoft® PowerPoint 2003, which will be running on all computers.

All oral presenters must turn in their slides to the staff in the preview room the day before their talk. Please bring your talk on a USB/Jump drive or a CD, not a floppy disk, so that it can be loaded into the appropriate folder. A LCD projector and computer will also be available in the preview room so that presenters can check their slides.

POSTER PRESENTATIONS:

The maximum poster size is 44” (110 cm) wide by 48” (120 cm) high.

Additional details can by obtained in the Poster Instructions and Tips page.

Posters must be set up in Salons B/C/D by the end of the afternoon coffee break (ie. by 3:10) on each of the two days (Thursday and Friday) to allow for judging and viewing by Congress participants. Further, they must be taken down immediately after the poster session to allow poster boards to be removed, and for the rooms to be set up for the following days talks.
