The 2017 Biochemistry Summer Symposium was held on August 8th, 2017 at the L.A.W. Feltham Room. Seven graduate students gave presentations on their research and undergraduates presented poster presentations of their summer research work. The presentations and posters were judged and this years award recipients were:

• L.M. Stead Award for Ph.D. student oral presentation: Olatunji (Anthony) Akerele (supervised by Dr. Cheema)
• L.M. Stead Award for M.Sc. student oral presentation: Shreyasi Sarkar (supervised by Dr. Berry)

The runner-up prize in the M.Sc. student oral competition went to Arun Kumar (supervised by Dr. Berry).

Adrian Young (supervised by Dr. Mailloux) was the award recipient for  best undergraduate poster.
