This is how we lipase

Lipoprotein metabolism is mediated significantly by the sn-1 lipases lipoprotein lipase, hepatic lipase, and endothelial lipase. These three lipases are typically anchored electrostatically to cell surfaces and exposed to the bloodstream, where they can capture lipoproteins to hydrolyze their triacylglycerols and phospholipids. My laboratory investigates the biochemistry of these lipases, as well as how they influence cell signaling and gene expression profiles. The work of my research group, as well as proposed future research directions, will be discussed.
