Comparative transcriptomics in bacterial species

Network-based comparison of expression data is an approach that can be used to identify similarities and differences in patterns of gene expression between species with orthologous genes. This talk will focus on a recent study comparing the transcriptome of Rhodobacter capsulatus to that of Rhodobacter sphaeroids; bioinformatics approaches used for the study will be described.
