Graduate Students
The Faculty of Arts offers diverse, multifaceted and unique graduate level programming, led by stellar faculty. We are home to 375 graduate students and 27 degree programs. There are as many reasons for attending graduate school as there are students – some may enroll for career advancement, others for purely personal satisfaction. In either case, graduate school is an opportunity for students to become leaders in their chosen fields.

School of Graduate Studies Dean’s Doctoral Award
Memorial University offers competitive funding packages to academically eligible full-time graduate students, both Canadian and international, in eligible programs. Select PhD students will also automatically be considered for the School of Graduate Studies Dean’s Doctoral Award, through a competitive process. The award is an additional amount of $5000 per year for up to four years.
