INFORMATION ABOUT PARE TESTING

There will be some practice sessions for the PARE test available in the near future.

These sessions will take place on Wednesday mornings from 7-8:45am.

The first available time slot is Wednesday November 2nd at 7:00am.

Due to time restrictions and costs, a minimum of 3 and maximum of 4 people need to be registered to offer this session.

For the November 2nd PARE practice session, participants must register at the general office in the Physical Education building before 4:00 pm on Friday October 28th. The cost will be $66.37 per participant.

All registered, will need to be in the main lobby of the PE building at 6:50am on Wednesday and will be there for the entire 2 hour period. The instructor will provide an in-depth explanation of the testing,
penalties,... and each participant will have a walk through before attempting the test. Once the instructor is confident that the participants fully understand the test, each participant will run the
standardized PARE and obtain their time. Equipment and procedure are exactly the same as used by the RNC.

Also, for individuals that are not currently able to pass the PARE and need to increase their fitness, we have developed a 12 week aerobic and strength training plan to meet the specific demands of the PARE. Fees are dependent on participant fitness and experience but will be individualized to their specific needs.
