Research Statement

My thesis research revolves around the assemblage of artifacts from the 18th century military installation on Bois Island located off the coast of Ferryland, Newfoundland. Through correlation with the historic record and an analysis of the varied and numerous artifacts I hope to draw conclusions regarding daily life on the island and military life in 18th century Newfoundland.
