Eileen O'Brien, B.Eng.'94

O'Brien, EileenEileen O'Brien is a graduate of Memorial University's Faculty of Engineering and has spent the last 22 years working in Technical, Project and Construction Engineering and Management, primarily in oil and gas. From front line construction to corporate EBITA, she has had the opportunity to see different aspects of the business, and interact with stakeholders of various backgrounds and agendas. Eileen spent three years working at the Alamogordo branch of the New Mexico State University as a computer science instructor, and developed outreach courses for the alternative high school. She has had the opportunity to work with the professional engineering association in Newfoundland as a member of the Disciplinary Committee, and was a member of the board for OTANS during her time in Nova Scotia. While stationed in Houston as Regional Technical Manager for Engineering and Projects, Eileen had the opportunity to visit engineers from across the Americas and listen to what makes their work fulfilling, and provide mentorship and guidance for the projects and construction personnel. Eileen will be able to bring not only experience but a unique perspective to the board with business and educational interests, and a passion and dedication for the things to which she commits.
