Alciato Emblem 136: Source in Greek Anthology 7.225

Time wears stone away and spares not iron, but with one sickle
destroys all things that are. So this grave-mound of Laertes
that is near the shore is being melted away by the cold rain.
But the hero's name is ever young, for Time cannot, even if he
will, make poesy dim.
