"The secrets of Aikido are found in the basics."
"It is not for correcting others; it is for correcting your own mind."
Morihei Ueshiba, Founder of Aikido

The Memorial University Aikido Club is based in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada. We are a non-profit organization dedicated to the teaching of the modern Japanese martial art known as Aikido. The club has existed for over 30 years and has a membership consisting of students, faculty and staff of Memorial University as well as other residents of St. John's and the surrounding communities. We welcome all who are interested in Aikido to come and train with us.

We are affiliated to the Aikikai Foundation through the Canadian Aikido Federation (CAF). Our practice is in the tradition Yukio Kawahara, Shihan (8th dan).

Please check out the links at the top of the page for further information about our practice or feel free to
email us for further information.
