ON
PEER REVIEW POLICY
PEER REVIEW
- Protocols which describe research that is currently funded by a peer reviewing funding agency do not need further peer review.
- Protocols concerning research for which funding has been sought from a peer reviewing funding agency will be given provisional approval. Once funded, the work will be considered to have been favourably peer reviewed, and may commence.
- If a peer reviewed project is not funded, evidence of satisfactory peer review in the form of the funding agency's reviewer’s report may be submitted to the IACC. The committee shall then decide whether this constitutes evidence of satisfactory peer review.
- Peer Review of Internally Funded Research
Two independent peer reviews will be sought: either both from from the Office of Research and/or one one from the Office of Research and one from a member of the IACC with appropriate expertise and no conflicts of interest.
