Credit Courses
The Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science has introduced oil
and gas options in mechanical, civil, naval architecture, and
electrical and computer engineering to train students for this
emerging and dynamic industry. These options are available to
senior undergraduate students. Memorial University also offers
graduate programs in ocean engineering, environmental engineering,
and environmental science. The Department of Earth Sciences offers
degree programs at the bachelors, masters and doctoral levels in
petroleum geology and geophysics. In the area of reservoir
characterization and engineering, there are inter-disciplinary
graduate opportunities with faculty members jointly appointed to
both academic units.
