Dr. Jean-Paul Roy
Faculty of Business Administration

Dr. Jean-Paul Roy, assistant professor in international strategy, is helping the faculty to increase its international activities. In particular, he looks forward to helping to enhance the faculty's research efforts. "The field of international business has been and continues to be the fastest growing academic area across the globe and I am absolutely thrilled to be a part of Memorial's drive to position itself prominently upon the global stage."

Prior to joining Memorial, Dr. Roy taught in the international bachelor of business administration (iBBA) program at the Schulich School of Business, York University as well as at the University of Toronto and Queen's University. While Dr. Roy's research includes the study of organizations operating across the globe, he is particularly interested in the Chinese and Japanese markets. His recent publications have been published in a number of leading journals, including Management and Organizational Review, Strategic Management Journal, Asia Pacific Journal of Management, Journal of Organizational Behaviour, and Political Psychology.

He earned his B.Sc. (Hons.) degree in social psychology and a master of industrial relations degree from the University of Toronto. He also holds a PhD in business administration from the Schulich School of Business, York University.

Dr. Roy said he had heard so much about the quality of Memorial's business students prior to joining the university and is delighted by how quickly the students here have surpassed his already high expectations.
