Memorial held a special employee service recognition luncheon on Thursday, Jan. 19, to honour employees who have achieved 30 years of service in 2005.

The ceremony marked their dedication and commitment to Memorial. Dr. Axel Meisen, president of the university, said the event was important because it gives Memorial an opportunity to personally thank those “who have given extraordinary service to our university and community.”

He said the employee's contributions have made Memorial a better place for its students and employees.

The ceremony was held in The Common Rooms of R. Gushue Hall on the St. John's campus.
