Entrepreneurs of the Year
The Belbin family were honoured as Entrepreneurs of the Year at the Faculty of Business Administration's annual Partners Dinner, held in the Fairmont Newfoundland Hotel on May 17, 2001. The popular grocery store's current owners Robert, Peter, and Chris Belbin were recognized for remaining true to the founder, their grandfather's, original vision of providing customers with a hassle-free shopping experience. Accepting the Entrepreneur of the Year award on behalf of his brother Peter and cousin Chris, as well as himself, Robert Belbin shows another of his favourite awards - a stuffed bear wearing an apron inscribed with "#1 Grocer" given to him by a young customer.
