Acting for the Camera
The English department offered a new course for drama students, acting for the camera. The course introduced drama students to the differences between acting on stage and for the camera. With the help of staff at CBC TV studios in St. John's, students explored the documentary, the commercial, the voice-over, the public service announcement and the interview. Twelve students participated in the pilot project, coordinated by Denyse Lynde of the English department. Here and Now host Debbie Cooper (R), who worked with students, chats with students Matt Roebothon, (L) and Kerry Shortall.
